Dr. Roocha Vyas is a highly experienced and compassionate dentist with over 25 years of clinical experience in the field of dentistry. She offers comprehensive care in all aspects of general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, therapeutic Botox, and adult orthodontics, including Invisalign®. Known for her gentle approach and warm demeanor, Dr. Vyas takes great pride in making every patient feel comfortable, heard, and respected.
Her care philosophy emphasizes building long-term relationships with patients and providing personalized, high-quality treatment. She takes the time to truly understand each patient’s individual needs and is deeply committed to delivering complete, holistic dental care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Dr. Vyas earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) in 2014 and has been serving patients in the region ever since, including at Georgian Family Dentistry. Prior to moving to Canada, she practiced dentistry in India for several years after completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Bangalore University.
In 2005, Dr. Vyas relocated to Owen Sound with her family. During her early years in Canada, she completed her dental hygiene studies and worked as a dental hygienist for four years while preparing for dental licensure.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Vyas enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and practicing yoga. She is committed to lifelong learning and regularly updates her clinical skills to stay current with advancements in dental technology. Her passion for dentistry is reflected in the trust she builds with her patients and the consistent, positive feedback she receives.
Dr Rajiv Gakhar has been practising at Georgian Family Dentistry since 2004. He brings over 30 years of extensive experience, knowledge and skill to our patients. His passion for dentistry is well recognized in the Grey Bruce area. He strives to provide utmost patient care and prides himself in being a gentle, patient and skillful dentist. His philosophy is to restore original teeth whenever possible.
Dr Gakhar was born and raised in India. He completed his Bachelor’s of Dental Surgery from King Georges Dental College in Lucknow and later did his masters in Prosthodontics. After owning a successful practice for 10 years, his passion drew him to Canada. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 and decided to settle down in our beautiful town!
In his free time, Dr. Gakhar loves to play with his dog “Bubbles” and ride his motorcycle. He has a close knit family and loves to travel with his wife and daughters whenever possible.
Dr. Joseph brings over 25 years of clinical experience in oral surgery and advanced dental procedures. He began his dental career in India, where he completed a Master’s degree in Oral Surgery, and later practiced as an oral surgeon in Malaysia.
In 2012, Dr. Joseph relocated to Canada and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Western University. He began his Canadian clinical career in Owen Sound, where he practiced for five years before moving to London, Ontario, where he became the owner of a successful dental practice.
Dr. Joseph has a strong clinical focus on wisdom tooth surgery and implant dentistry and routinely performs procedures using IV sedation, oral sedation, and general anesthesia when appropriate. His extensive experience allows him to safely manage complex surgical cases.
Known for his calm demeanor and strong communication skills, Dr. Joseph is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and has earned a strong reputation among both patients and colleagues.
Dr. Shreya Gakhar is a board-certified endodontist with advanced training in both surgical and non-surgical endodontic care. She earned her dental degree from James Cook University in Australia, where she also completed a general residency program focused on serving underserved communities across diverse regions.
After practicing as a general dentist across North America, Dr. Gakhar pursued specialty training at the University at Buffalo Endodontics Program, a highly selective program known for its advanced education in microscopic and minimally invasive endodontic techniques.
Dr. Gakhar is known for her cheerful demeanor and empathetic care philosophy. She is deeply committed to preserving natural dentition and providing excellent patient experiences through the use of evidence-based treatment methods and modern technology.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Gakhar enjoys hiking, tennis, and exploring her musical interests by learning new instruments. She grew up in Owen Sound, attended Notre Dame and St. Mary’s High School, and is excited to once again serve the community she calls home.
